چکیده
The nucleon and meson effective masses in the nonlinear Relativistic Mean-Field Theory (RMF) introducing a ω− ρ coupling is explored. It is shown that, in contrast to the usual Walecka model, not only the effective nucleon mass meff,N but also the effective ρ meson mass meff,ρ and the effective ω meson mass meff,ω are nucleon density dependent. Relativistic Mean-Field Model with Momentum-Dependent Self-Energies
The conventional relativistic mean-field model with minimal meson-nucleon couplings is extended by introducing derivative meson-nucleon couplings. Combining this approach with a density dependence of the coupling vertices leads to an improved description of nuclear matter and atomic nuclei, especially of effective masses and the optical potential. Introduction and Theoretical Model The relativi...
متن کاملDescribing Hot and Dense Nuclear Matter with Gauged Linear σ-Model∗
To describe nuclear matter at high temperature and high baryon density appropriate for RHIC and LHC, an effective theory is proposed. Three developments underlie the effective theory: (1) relativistic mean field theory description of nuclear matter with mesons mediating interactions; (2) topological soliton description of the nucleon with hidden local symmetry; (3) phenomenological knowledge of...
متن کاملVariation of hadron masses in finite nuclei
The quark-meson coupling model, based on a mean-field description of nonoverlapping nucleon bags bound by the self-consistent exchange of σ, ω and ρ mesons, is extended to investigate the change of hadron properties in finite nuclei. Relativistic Hartree equations for spherical nuclei have been derived from a relativistic quark model of the structure of bound nucleons and mesons. Using this uni...
متن کاملA neutron star model in the nonlinear Relativistic Mean-Field Theory
The nucleon masses are denoted by MN whereas ms, Mω, Mρ and Mδ are masses assigned to the meson fields. The parameters entering the Lagrangian function (1) have been chosen to reproduce the equilibrium properties of symmetric nuclear matter. As it is usually assumed in quantum hadrodynamics [ 1] the mean field approximation is adopted and for the ground state of homogeneous infinite matter, qua...
متن کاملAn effective formulation on quantum hadrodynamics at finite temperatures and densities
According to Wick’s theorem, the second order self-energy corrections of hadrons in the hot and dense nuclear matter are calculated. Furthermore, the Feynman rules are summarized, and an effective formulation on quantum hadrodynamics at finite temperatures and densities is evaluated. As the strong couplings between nucleons are considered, the self-consistency of this method is discussed in the...
